In this lesson we will take what you have already learned from the CAGED method lessons here at GuitarLessons365.com, and put that to good use in learning larger chord forms (ie. 9ths, 11ths and 13ths).
If you aren’t very familiar with the CAGED system yet, just check out those chord lessons in the beginner and intermediate guitar lesson archives.
It will also help for you to know the basic chord theory that you can get from the Understanding Keys lesson and the lesson on Triads found in the music theory archive.
Be sure to try and take these different chord formulas to all of your basic CAGED chord forms. It will really open up a lot of doors into visualizing the neck if you figure out your own voicings.

Have fun learning these new chords that will really spice up your jazz playing. We still have two more chord families to go with this method. Let me know what you think!!
