The two EPIC solos in “Desert Rose” are full of drama, excitement and virtually every guitar technique that makes up Eric Johnson’s signature sound. But don’t get completely caught up with the solos, the rhythm guitar parts are also excellently well done and showcase a lot of really cool chord forms and techniques that you can add to your own playing style. Eric Johnson is a true master of so many guitar styles it is really difficult to describe his playing to a lot of people. From his sense of melody, otherwordly technique and let’s not forget that TONE!!, all one need to do is listen to “Desert Rose” and they will hear a true musical genius at the top of his craft.
