Advanced Guitar Lesson – Alternate Picking Using 3 Notes Per String Scales Pt.1

In Advanced Guitar Lessons | on December, 04, 2009 | by | 1 Comments

This lesson shows a few alternate picking exercises using the 3 Notes Per String patterns we learned earlier.

They can be used as great technique exercises when applied to all of the scale forms, as well as function as a great warm-up.

Practice all of the exercises slowly at first, to build up a consistent technique. After you feel you have the patterns solidly in your hands, only then should you attempt to speed them up.

Take these exercises through ALL seven scale forms.

Remember!! Practice Doesn’t Make Perfect.. Good Practice Makes Perfect!!

Be sure to download the lesson materials PDF, so you can see all of the picking indications and fingerings.

Hi Carl, you didn’t say anything about right hand, is this picking more like tremolo picking or you actualy “feel” the down and up picking motion? THANXXX
